i followed every step, but i am still not getting any sound? any help?Lol guys it's not that hard to find a torrent website ...
Instead of PMing you the name of the biggest torrent website on the internet (seriously, just google it you can't miss it) I'll do you all one better, show you what to do with the files once you find them.
First off, what type of 3d are you looking for? You want stereoscopic side-by-side videos. What this means is the movie is actually 2 videos playing side-by-side (that's what you'll see if you open it on a non-3d-screen). Do NOT download anaglyph 3d (that's the red-and-blue type). The 3vo will NOT play those in 3d. The way the evo works is takes those two side-by-side images and merges them, so if it's just one image with red/blue, it won't know what to do with it.
Once you find what you're looking for, it will likely be in a .mkv format or something similarly strange. The 3vo likes .m4v and .mp4 the best, so we need to convert (this is to your advantage anyway because it's at this point that we can lower the resolution and shrink the file size by about 80%, saving you space)
Follow this tutorial for converting, it's very straight-forward.
Once you have it converted, obviously plug your 3vo in and put it somewhere on your sd (My movies are in "My Documents", doesn't really matter though)
You *MUST* use a 3vo-native app to watch these videos. If you use arcMedia or any other 3rd party video viewer, it won't work (no 3rd party apps support 3d yet). I use "Gallery". Start the video and you'll see it in 2d, with 2 images next to each other. Just hit your settings button, then "Play in 3d" and voila, you have Avatar in 3d on your phone (or whatever movie you decide to ... legally acquire.)
Hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions. As for now, I'm going to fall asleep watching Alice in Wonderland in 3d on my phoneHit thanks if this helps

Can I buy a 3D movie and convert it on my computer? Im completely new to 3D so I'm not sure what I would need. My drive is a blu-ray drive, but does it need to be 3D specific to have the dvd recognized?
Thanks for the fast response, I'm not that clueless about the DVD needing to be 3D, just wasn't sure if my drive needed to be a 3D drive if those even exist. The DVD needs to be the 3D version.
Then you need to rip it and convert it to an mp4/m4v that the phone will understand. Setting the preset for iPhone within Handbrake will work just fine
I have now tried converting an mkv file of IMAX Hubble twice and still no audio is coming out. I made sure that it was set to stereo and AAC(faac) but still no sound. The original plays fine with sound on my computer, but the outputted file has no audio playing on my computer or my 3VO. Did the tutorial word for word and the video is amazing, just no sound. Guess I am going to have to try the other recommended program and see if that works since Handbrake did not, boo.
Thanks aznmode, I am currently in the process of converting using Freemake so hopefully it works out. I guess if I run into any language barriers later I'll try to find a solution then, as of now my stuff is all English. You might want to try Freemake. This guy started this thread for the same reason you're having.
[How To] Convert 3D videos using Freemake - xda-developers
I like Freemake cause its very easy to use. But limited to audio output. So if your source is original in another language but supports english, you cant change this in freemake. Handbrake you can select which language output you want but in your case it wont matter since there's no audio out anyway.
I had Avatar in 2 separate files, a left and a right file. Any ideas on combining them to a SBS(Side By Side) file?
