If Verizon is selling Thunderbolts at $650 for full price and Best Buy is at $750 will they price match to what Verizon is offering it at? I have a $200 gift card for Best Buy and would like to purchase it from them but at the $650 price minus my $200 gift card.

Anyone able to get BB to lower their $749 to $599.

My local Best Buy (Florida) has always matched the local VZW store prices. They will not match online prices, but will match local VZW prices. Our local VZW corporate stores (3) are all selling the TB at 599.99 full retail, so I'm expecting a match from Best Buy.

In about 3 and a half hours I'll be trying to get BB to price match VZW as well. Will post how that goes...

I went in yesterday and said that VZW store was selling it for 600, and the girl didn't believe me. I told her they definitely were, and she said she wasn't sure if they could price match. She says she is going to find out for me today.

I don't see why they wouldn't...I have it preordered there, but if I can save 150 by going to my local VZW, there is nothing keeping me from doing so.

But somebody who figures out for sure, please let us know!

The home page here at AC is reporting full price with no contract at VZW has been dropped to $444.99!

by 3 am the price had gone back up to $599. Mistake? Gift for those who got up, stayed up till midnight and ordered online?

I posted the question yesterday on best buys forum and this was the reply.

Question:

I know Best Buy does not match prices of online retailers but will Best Buy match Verizon if their full retail price is lower at their stores. I have heard that verizon is going to be around $600-$650 for a non-contract pricing and currently Best Buy is at $750 for their non-contract price. Will they match?

Answer: from what I believe is a BB employee.

As long as a local Verizon Wireless store has it in stock, there shouldn't be any issue with price matching.

Update: Local BB in Madison, WI honored the $599 price verizon was offering it at. Great deal. No lines at all.

Just that verizon was sell it at $599 at their corporate stores and I wanted a price match. I was extremely polite but made it clear that I would just walk across the street to their store and buy it from them. He called his verizon rep and had no problem with doing a price match. I paid the $599 price minus the $50 pre order gift card. Very easy and really no problems. In and out in 15 min.

Thanks for the info. Just for reference, what best buy was it?
