Full Screen Use on Galaxy Nexus?

Is there a way to remove the software buttons and use the full screen?

Saw a video of someone using a gesture to bring back to buttons while playing a game. This seems useful.

Some ROMs have it built in as an option on the Power Menu. Not sure which ones on JB have it, though.
