Future Android Phones Sizes

Personally on phones I think all is well currently at 4.5 - ~5 in fits in pockets easily exempting girl pants wearing hipsters . But if the market shows people want bigger it will happen.

I think Flagship devices, the kind requiring a second mortgage / sale of internal organs, will top out around 5-6 inches, possibly converging into Phablet space. Heck, Phablets might take over high end phone space...

For everyone else, I'd say from 3-5 inches. I have a Sony Xperia Mini Pro, a 3 inch screen, and its a great pocketable size. For me, pocketability is more of a factor than real-estate. For productivity, viewing and such, I have a tablet. My phone lacks the horsepower, but that's OK as its only needed for light browsing, email, SMS and phone calls.

I have relatively ginormous hands. For me, they couldn't have made a better all-around device than my S3.

i think everything beyound 5'' will be silly, some people already don't like Galaxy Note size, also keep in mind 3'' sizes are also still notably popular... and im not talking here about iPhone, but phones like Galaxy Ace which is cheapest option to get Android and they won't go away so easily. So i don't think tis wll go beyound what it is, but we might see more phones with iPhone 5 new screen ratio (if there aren't already)

I really hate current situation with the phone sizes. I mean where is a normal human hand sized phones with high end hardware? I want S3 hardware in 4.3 screen sized case, or nexus 4 hardware in 4 inch screen sized phone. I already have nexus S and when I am at work I have it in my pocket and I feel like I have a brick in there. I think S3 or nexus 4 would just split in half in that pocket. I remember HTC Desire with its 3.7(?) display. Loved it to bits.
people delusional about larger than 5 inch display phones need to get real. If you cannot do any work on the smaller sized phone, get a tablet. Use it as a phone. Let manufacturers to make high end phone with smaller screens for those who don't have shovels instead of their hands

Look, I understand your desire for a smaller phone with high end specs. And I feel that manufacturers should give you that option. A lot of people feel that way. But you have no standing to say that something is wrong with people who want a larger phone. Just because the way I use my phone is different than the way you use your phone, doesn't make you right and me wrong (or vice versa).

I think manufacturers should make great phone in all sizes from 3" up to 6". Give customers options. Why do you want to take options away?

Personally, I enjoy function over form. I would never watch a full movie on a 4in screen, but i would never watch it on a 5in either. It's nice to know that I "can" of course. But realistically, either size is not adequate. So it might as well stay smaller in that case.

Now.... given the frames of these phones now a days, even I've gone up in size. The good thing for me is that I still keep it realistic. I could do anywhere from a 4in to "MAYBE" 4.5". With 4.3" being the sweet spot! I think that's a balanced approach for my taste. Give that range to me in a high end Nexus, and I will stay happy. For now, I'm going back to BlackBerry when the q10 comes to Verizon.

I'm convinced OEMs just chase their tails on what customers want. They make bigger and bigger, yet, we never asked for it. And they make thinner and thinner, and again, we never asked for that!

What do we want??? Quality workhorse devices with outstanding battery life that comes in a manageable size! Not asking much.
