Verizon isn't going to change the ship status for many reasons, a) they don't want to get the word out that they are shipping early and stomping on the competition, b) something could actually happen to delay the whole hot mess and that won't be good and c) it's Verizon when was the last time they actually did something nice for you, well this could be that time

the gs3 shipped early but only by about 3 days if i remember right. this would be over a week early......crazy bold for verizon

Yea i was going to say that.... The last phone i pre ordered was the gs3 and i got it 3-4 days before the ship by date..... But 10/10 isn't bad... Look at it this way... How long have some carriers been waiting on the Lg G2 compared to verizon... Its just that way sometimes..

So quick update from my first post in this thread, but nothing new...


Went to the store to bring back my 5S today and reactivated my Note 2. When I asked about the Note 3 specifically and when it would release, the store manager said October 10th. Was really hoping I'd get a bomb dropped on me in the tune of "we have it for you now to buy!" lol

Stopped in my local Verizon wireless store last night to ask about the Note 3. The manager told me they'd have it on 10/3. Surprised, I told him I heard 10/10. He checked on the computer, told me I was right, they will have it on the 10th. He also told me that if I call him in the afternoon on the 9th that he'd put one aside for me...thought that was pretty decent of him. 12 more days......

They quoted me on the 10th when I went in. I ordered at a Premium retailer so I suppose that means I won't get mine till the 17th.

Is Verizon known for shipping preorders out beforehand and buyers getting them before release? I ask because I'm toying with the idea of preordering one offline instead of risking showing up on release day and they're sold out by the time I get to the store (which would be a few hours after they've opened). There are plenty of stores in the Houston area, but just want to avoid the worst-case scenario of going store to store to track down a device.

I'm confident it will eventually get root. The biggest thing for me is restoring my apps. I'm gonna try helium as you don't need to be rooted to use it.

Not to mention they're likely going to ship for the tenth, not by it. So we most likely will have our phones on the tenth. Not a huge deal for me.
