October 10th. The was a rumor (insider info) saying it would early ship for pre-orders starting tonight but it looks like that will not pan out which happens and while I was optimistic I wasn't counting on it. But you can get it on 10-10

I have to wonder if they really are that clueless or if it is just safer for them to say that.

This way, they don't get angry, harassing calls from us, but if by chance it arrives on the ninth, we'd be so happy to get it a day early that we cheer Verizon's name from the highest mountain. Or something like that.

While I understand you want to get it on the 10th, the point of preordering (at least in my eyes) is to ensure that you get a unit at launch. Considering it ships via FedEx 2-day for free, it's not like another day or two is going to hurt.

And on the same note, I was told they will likely be shipping for the tenth, not by it - so most preorder units should arrive on the tenth. Just something from a CSR, so take it with your smallest grain of salt ever.

Stand in line ? I dont know anywhere that will have a line for this phone.

I have been to Verizon stores in the past that had limited qty and lines for certain phones. Thunderbolt, Galaxy Nexus and a few others over the years.

Since were seeing AT&T and T-Mobile are starting to ship pre orders I wonder what Verizon is doing to our pre orders to make use wait another 10 days. I hope their not taking things out or restricting software.

IT's all about the testing, really they test and test and test and test some more. Likely they won't release it until they are happy. On a side note I canceled my pre-order today since I no longer wanted the GG smartwatch and I couldn't drop just the GG. Now I am looking to pre-order or, wait until Friday since Best Buy claims it will be in stock on Friday. I know that is Sprint's date but I asked 3 times and they confirmed 3 times. So what is one more day.

I hope this helps. I preordered the note 3 with verizon last week anx got a 10/10 shipping date. Rep said they do next day shipping on pre orders and that i should get it on the 11th or 14th. My friend preordered the next day and got a shipping date of 10/17
