g board GIF not working with Samsung text

Anyone have this issue? It worked fine for the frost few weeks I owned the phone then stopped working. The GIFs work fine on Hangouts and WhatsApp, just not Samsung text now for some reason

It works for me but I find the built in gif option in the actual app to work better since it's native. The Gboard one sometimes sends a link in the Samsung messages app.

yes, it's annoying and started with the most recent Gboard update. Waiting to see if Google will receive word from someone who owns one of these phones. It will have to be an employee, because they sure as hell don't read the app reviews.

I toggle back and forth between the Samsung keyboard and Gboard when I want to enter a gif

Would love to do that, but AT&T blocked the gif feature on the Samsung Keyboard with the Touchwiz/Oreo update.

The update I received for Gboard yesterday fixed the gif issue! I can now insert gifs into Samsung messaging app
