G Mail not syncing.......... again!

I have tried everything, batt pull, turn on-off, checked and double checked settings and I receive my exchange email just fine. But Google mail is not syncing AGAIN! I refresh and all is good. Any ideas? Thxs

This happened to me about a month ago and I had to do a factory reset. Haven't had any issues since.

Try this:

• Press Menu and click Settings
• Go to Applications
• Manage Applications
• Pick All
• Look for GMail
• Click on GMail and Clear Data

when I click on clear data it prompts a warning that continuing will delete files, settings,accounts, etc. Won't this cause me to lose my current GMail account? Thxs!

no it wont wipe out your account it will just wipe out the memory of the accoun, it should just open and you may have to put your email and password again

I had this same issue with my Hotmail ActivSync. I had to clear the data from the Email application and clear the data and cache from the Data Manager in applications. It took quite awhile to figure that out, but looks like that's the syncing issue secret.

I haven't gotten gmail to synch on its own since the froyo update. I've tried to clear the data, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the gmail updates, nothing works. I don't use my gmail account alot so its not a huge deal, but it still bugs me that is doesn't do what its supposed to.

Looks like just after few days, GMail not syncing again! Is anyone else having this re-occuring problem? Just seems at least in my situation GMail is very buggy.

is this happening to you only on the official gmail app? or is it on the email client the x comes with? i had this issue for a long time on the gmail app and was forced to use the x email native app. now my gmail app is working fine. the native x email app pushes and has all the functions of the gmail app it just looks a little different.

Sorry guys i wish i could help, but i have never had any problems whatsoever with any email syncing besides my college email account, but thats because the server the school uses is slow.

so im assuming the problem is either not that widespread or hasnt hit me yet.

I have been having trouble with the regular email app. Won't sync for hours, sometimes days. Sometimes a battery pull seems to solve it. VERY annoying. Help would be appreciated.

By the way, I have tried turning wifi on and off, going in and out airplane mode, etc. None of them seem to help.

I use K-9 and have noticed the emails coming in when they want to. Really didn't think anything of it until now. Wonder why this happens every so often to the X?

I have Gmail sync failures on my droidx now for the last 3 weeks. Using the native mail app, tried all variations of settings, no luck. What gives?

Haven't had this on my X yet, but my D1 Froyo used to do that every couple weeks. Delete data always cleared it right back up. Just know that your email will take a few minutes to download after you enter your password again. Use Wifi if possible.

On my power widget is a sync on and off, when on, everything syncs. when off, it doesn't. You think I should leave the sync on? Hmmmm....
