G PAD get KitKat!

hope they skip 4.3 and go right to 4.4. I had a first gen nex 7 that is now running 4.3. Im very happy with 4.2.2 on the g p pad and surprisingly like lg's modifications. The reviews on this tablet surprise me. Its the best small to mid range tablet on the market by far, Imo

I think there is a real chance they may do that!

I don't see why they would bother with 4.3 especially since they have first access to 4.4.

The G Pad exceeds Samsung's Tab 3 8.0 in every conceivable way except price. IMO it is worth $70 premium ($280 vs $350).

Keep in mind that the Tab 3 is only dual-core as well. If it was quad-core and $70 less then I may feel a little ripped off, but I still don't know if I could handle that hardware button on a tablet.

I'm actually thinking about getting the wife a Tab 3 7.0, but just because now she has an Acer A100 and it's thick and hard for her to find cases that fit and she went from an Android phone to an iPhone 5 in May I think. So I figure at least if she had a Tab she would be used to the hardware button and she would be able to find tons of accessories for it. That's really the only advantage of Samsung and Apple in my opinion. Even if a store doesn't have accessories for anything else, they'll have accessories for Samsung and Apple devices.

One of the things I really like about the G Pad is that it's like you're just holding a really light screen. Its so light and the bezels are so thin...it just feels that way.

Yeah, I actually brought it in to work to show a coworker and he said it was nice and light. It is light, but for mine anyway, the build quality is great. My coworker still said he was still going to get the Nexus 7 though. I've heard so many people say that the Nexus 7 still freezes and that it's really not what it should be if Google is truly trying to show off. I think it may be the fact that they are still going with Asus. I think I'm done with Asus for a while. The TF700T just wasn't all it was sold to be.

Can't decide between the G Pad and iPad mini. I'm done with small screen Apple phones but they make near perfect tablets.

Actually owned both. Went through 3 mini retinas all with badly discolored screens. The one thing that sucks on ipads is watching vidoes. Just couldnt deal with a 4:3 ratio when everything is 16:9 and letterboxed on the ipad.
But the gpad has been great and if you can find it for less than $300 its a great buy.

I just picked up my G Pad on NewEgg for $329 and they threw in the LG Tone+ HBS-730 Headset that matches the color tablet you pick for free. Not bad considering I was planning on picking up those headphones anyway. Great for cycling.
