So since by default this was not allowed on the gnexus is there anything that i should be worried ablout like information security or causing issues with my device? If i wanted to stop using it do i jjump on dashboard and remove it?

No there's no need to worry about security. Works just like on the NS4G. My only word of advice is if you're rooted and going to be flashing ROM's make a back up of that version of Wallet before you flash. If not you'll end up like me and can have wallet installed on the phone, but doesn't let you add money to the pre-paid card.

No no no lol! Wallet backups/restores and flashing hacked versions are the 2 things that will eventually give you a secure element error.. Which pretty much can't be fixed and means no more wallet for you, ever, on this phone. Just install it like any apk, if it isn't already included in the rom you're running.
