I got a several between G watch & Samsung S4: when I got new email G watch doesn't display, and when I got text G Watch just show : New text and don't give option to reply (all this worked at one time, and I didn't change any setting). And I try to reset it , and reset it and reset ... It did not do any good, also I found out that Reset button on the back of the watch is just a Restart button?
And how to stop the worthless steps counter for good?

I know why gmail doesn't work: android wear>setting>block app notification>Gmail (I did not put it there).
Still try to solve other problems

I've heard that, for some reason, the stock Samsung messages app no longer allows replying back on Android Wear (haven't tried it out myself, not 100% on this one). Switching to a supported SMS app (like hangouts) would be a potential solution tho.

The recessed button on the back of the G Watch is just supposed to be a power / restart button in case you don't have your charger with you and want to turn it on or the watch freezes up completely.

Unfortunately, I do not believe there is a way of turning off the step counter in Android wear at the moment.

As far as the block gmail setting, that's odd it would block itself... Do you have other email clients (like inbox) that may have set this for you?

If you go into the fit app on the watch, you can disable the reporting at least (and possibly the tracking itself, I don't recall).
