G2 Mic issues

I just found out my Mic is acting funny on my phone, of course 2 days after i canceled my phone insurance due to my carrier always refusing to fix my phones. My phone works just fine in speaker phone mode and through Bluetooth. I turned off noise supression, or what i believed to be noise supression, I did a factory reset, and i even changed out he mic board on the phone. These still didnt work. Example when i hit the mic on the google search bar, the ring around the mic moves as though im talking, but im not, and people cannot hear me talk unless im on Bluetooth, or speaker phone. Any ideas. Note mic isn't low sounding or fuzzy, it just seems like it is completely dead

Since you know how to change the mic board, open the phone and see if it works with the mic out in the air. If it does, shove a toothpic into the mic hole in the case (with the mic not near the hole, of course). You'll probably get a pocketfull of lint and dust. If it still doesn't work I'd suspect a problem on the motherboard.

Well there is nothing blocking the hole to the mic, i can see right thru the case in that respect. Air and a brush was the first thing that i did to try to resolve he issue

Then, unless the replacement mic is bad, I'd go with a problem on the motherboard.

You know where i can find new parts for these phones? All i seem to find are used, which the one i bought off ebay was used workig.
