G2 vs nexus 5

That is one of the problems I had. However I do not have that issue anymore. What version of Camera App are you running? Mine is version 2.4.025. I also ways do the dreaded Factory Reset after the OS updates.

Have neither Nexus 5 anymore... got rid of mine last summer and have a Nexus 6 now... swapped my wife's for a G3 this Feb.

Right just to let people know (if anyone is still interested) the phone I am using right now is.... The g2.

I had a think and I've chucked a brand new battery in this replaced the back housing on it and tweaked it to get it how I like it, now I realise I could've done all this on the n5 but I actually like this phone, the camera is great I'm now used to and like those back buttons The phone is still very quick even with it's age, and I think in the near future/when cyanogen release a stable 12s for this I'll root it and tweak some more.

Thanks everyone for the help and advice

Yep.... The Snapdragon 800 SoC is still extremely viable almost two years after it became available. As long as the phone doesn't break, I can see you getting another 2 years out of it, easy.... I don't suspect that processor demands are going to increase significantly at this point.

Yeah and with 5.0 supposedly being less demanding on phones to allow it to run smoothly on more devices it's looking good as long as lg continue to support it
