G2x internal memory

I know the spec sheet says the G2x has 8gb of internal memory. But after formatting and such, how much actual storage space is left on the phone (assuming it's fresh out of the box, with not additional apps downloaded, and no SD card is inserted)?

I wanted to know, because I am new to Android and just wanted to know how much internal memory I supposed to be getting.

Total Space for phone memory is 5.44gb. I'm not sure about what's available for apps before any apps, but I still have 1.07gb left for apps. It doesn't come with an external SD card.
