G3 Lollipop update Issues

Hi, I just updated to lollipop and I am noticing a couple things rught off the bat.
1. No wifi calling. Its says enabling but no symbol.
2. App tray is still transparent. I heard its suppose to be all solid white.
3. Contacts still look the same.
Please share your thoughts.

Sync issues with google apps like gmail, hangouts, etc. only while on wifi

Settings, General, Storage, Cached Data, and clearing the cache, might help.

I had issues with Google services until I did a factory reset. I don't use hangouts. After FR, I have had NO issues. Runs very smooth.

I am also having the Wi-Fi calling issue. Well, I was. Seems to be okay today, a day and a couple restarts later. I did do the back up on the phone and moved that file to my computer in case I have to do a factory reset but just a little afraid to do this because I'm not 100% sure how to do it right and just don't feel like losing all the game data and stuff. Fingers crossed that it all kinds of settles in and becomes stable I guess.

Do you think it is ok to restore from a LG backup after I did a Factory Reset? Was having some battery drain and reset. After I restored it seems it is still draining quicker than ok KK. Should I just start over?

I don't know how well the restore is working yet. If you're sitll having issues, I'd start over from scratch. My 2 cents though.

Yes i agree. I dont think the restore is effective. Still having the same issues. My question is will they do something about these issues

What do you mean by restore? Are you talking about Factory Reset?

No, restore is done after factory resetting.
This is what you should do before you decide to reset your phone.
1. Back everything up using LG back up and restore tool.
2. Factory reset.
3. Restore if you choose.

You have to be careful what you restore after a major system upgrade. Restoring only data files is one thing, but including backed up system files can be dangerous. When you backup, only backup data files.
After I upgraded to 5.0.1, I had issues. I factory reset, downloaded apps thru Google play and then restored data files.
Same thing you should do if you are rooted and installing different roms.
However, if you are rooted, you can use an app like Titanium Backup that will keep apps with their data separate from all other files.

Are your drivers up to date? My usb connection worked before and still works after update. Windows 8.1.
