g3 screen differences

I own the 16gb 2gb of ram version of the g3 in the uk and ive just had mine side by side of my friends 32gb 3gb of ram g3 and they were both at 100% brightness and the screens look different. Mine (2gb ram) looks like it has a better screen it seems brighter and has better colours compaired to the 3gb version and my whites look alot whiter than the 3gb g3 aswell.. Has anyone had the chance to have the 2 different versions of the g3 next to eachother and if so can you confirm that theres a difference? If yes wich would u say is better

Well ive just looked at youtube to see a comparison between the both and on the reveiw the 3gb version looks alot better than the 2gb version lol

Perhaps there are manufacturing variations. Perhaps individual usage also has an effect on the display after a while.

Ive come across something on the internet that the 2gb version d855 is a lg in house made screen and the 3gb of ram 32gb version is made else were so if thats true it could kind of make sense

Yea very, either way i like my g3 it works well and dose what its ment to so not to fussed i just thought its abit interesting about the 2 screens was visibly different

I researched this myself and there can be a big difference in displays between g3 phones. What I found out is that the displays made by LG are much brighter with better color. The displays that they contracted to another company to make for them are dimmer and the colors are duller.

So it depends on which company manufactured the display.

Could u give me the link for this info please and yea its about right hence why mine looked better than my friends mine is uk 2gb version and his was the 3gb version of ebay both werr d855 though

I would have to Google and look for it, I came across the info back in August. I had gotten the g3 in July and it had a perfect screen. Then in August my wife decided to get the g3 also but when the phone came and we compared them side by side the difference in screens was enormous. Both phones where the exact same model, specs, and color.

We took her phone back to at&t that day and told them she wanted a different phone. The next phone that they unboxed for my wife had a perfect screen so she kept that one.
