G3 screen lights up while charging...

So I'm having an issue with my G3 and I'm not sure if it can be disabled or if there is a setting making this happen. When I'm charging my phone the screen turns on frequently and gives a charging notification sound. It is very annoying. I'm noticing it usually happens once my phone reaches approximately 75% charge and higher. It doesn't do this when the battery is low. I just tried topping off the battery while a tried taking a nap but it kept lighting up and giving me a notification sound. Is there a setting I don't know about?

I had a bad charging cable that would periodically lose and remake connections. The screen would turn on every time it did this.

I believe that setting - "Stay Awake (screen will never timeout while charging)" is only available in the the Developer Options.

I have that box unchecked already by default. I think checking it would do the opposite from what I'm looking for. Unless I'm wrong.

This is probably the issue.

Happens to me when I use a charger with a loose connection.

Loose cable connection, or using a charger not supported by the phone. I use the charger that comes with the phone. If I use one of my older chargers, I will get either slow charge or the device tells me to switch cables.

Sorry I missed that part. I'm guessing it could be the electrical current fluctuating. Try plugging it on a different power source or use a surge protector. Maybe that would help.
