G4 battery torture testing

What we really need is everybody reading this thread to do the same with their current phone, would give us a great sample size.

My edge would be at 80% just reactivating all the stuff I had to turn off to make it through the day lol. I'm still blaming Google lollipop though, that update obliterated my formerly stellar note 4.

Mine on Lollipop is doing just fine. Started the test last night but apparently someone turned it off after 6 hours.
Here's mine:

I can't help it, I have to watch that vid at least once a week. Thanks for fulfilling my quota for the week Jerry!

Wait... So the torture test is supposed to be for the phone? I thought you were torturing us!?

Nice Jerry. Glad to hear about the battery life

Sent from my Pearly White Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Ran the test on S6 Edge (Verizon) and it depleted 10% for every ~35-40 minutes. So they aren't too far apart but the G4 has a slight edge.

That video lasted only 37 seconds or my head would have exploded. The CIA should use that video on terrorist. That has to be torture.

Great to know the battery held up better than I did.

I've noticed recently that most flagship smartphones from the last year or two are pretty well optimized for video, including streaming video like He-Man here. It's kinda like Highway mileage with a car, whereas taking photos, browsing the internet, etc is like city mileage. That's why it's hard to gage battery testing for real life. Still tho, 6 hours of video streaming is impressive.
