I have noticed that leaving my G4 in LTE mode causes shorter battery life, and poor signal strength on Bell Canada's network. Setting it on 3G mode seems to increase signal strength and battery life? Anyone else having the same results?

While I can't speak directly on this, have you contacted Bell regarding the issue? They can refresh the signal connection between a tower and your device. Also, it could potentially lead to a bill credit as well. I usually bring these types of signal issues up to ensure I get some money back for the inconvenience.
