G4 using LTE data while connected to WiFi

A few times a day, while I'm connected to a solid WiFi connection, my G4 will display the 4G LTE icon (see attached screen shot)

Is this a sign that the phone is using the 4G connection when it shouldn't be? I've had an unusually high level of data usage this month and I'm wondering if this is the culprit.

Is this happening to anyone else?

It isn't. It is using the wifi for the data. For us on T-Mobile if the mobile data icon is staying active that usually means the caller ID app is on / functioning. If you were to disable it the phone should stop doing that.
