G5 lock screen, stock Android shortcuts?

So sometimes my lock screen looks one way, only to add the shortcuts seemingly whenever it wants, randomly. Does anyone know if there's a rhyme or reason for this? I would prefer one or the other, not randomly either.

I have not been able to recreate the home screen without the icons at the bottom, but I'll keep an eye out.
