G6 or V20?

I have the V20. I wasn't going to get the G6 but then my OCD kicked in and I will get it. I love the V20 but since I have JOD I can upgrade easily. Then I'll sit back and wait for the V20 to arrive. Initially I wasn't going to get the G6 since I'm really digging then V20 but why not go for it. It looks like a solid device.

I didn't intend to discredit the G6 at all. After viewing some reviews, it looks like it will be a really solid device. I think it would be a good upgrade for someone replacing a G4/G5, M9, or S6 type phone.

I could see wanting to upgrade from a G4, but I can't see any real value in upgrading from a G5. Unless the person has an obsession to be on the latest and greatest.

If I get any phone soon it is going to be the V20, looks like a much nice phone with better features I care about over the G6.

The V20 is a very nice phone from what I read and heard from owners like my co-worker. If you are in the market now for a phone and those are your two choices, I don't think you can go wrong with either and you can choose if you have specific likes such as removeable battery, DAC, second display or wireless charging or 2:1 screen and waterproofing. And you might have an advantage of getting the V20 at a cheaper price since it's an "older" phone if price is a consideration.

The reason both phones currently share similarities in specs... I think... is that the V20 is originally a 2016 phone with original release date of Sept 2016. While the G6 is the 2017 update of the G5 and the trend seems to be that the "smaller" phone is now the size of last years big phone. Samsung for example... the S8 is now the size of the S7E.

So I very much expect this years 2017 V30 to be much larger than the V20 and be closer to the S8 Plus/iPhone 7 Plus size. If I had to guess... near 6.2" screen with 2:1 screen ratio, SD 835, etc. and then going forward there should be more distinct differences between the two models... a G-series flagship to compete with the competitors smaller phones and a V series to compete against the Plus sized phones.

So based on what has been announced about the G6, would you get it or stick with the V20? I have a G5, but thought about getting the G6, but I hear the V20 is an awesome phone. Thoughts?
