Any one jumping ship? I might after a couple of months when the V30 goes down in price. About the Pixel 2...nahhhh I'll pass
Pixel 2 XL looks nice, but I'd go with V30 for the following 3 reasons
1. Wide angle camera. Ever since having my G6, I can't live without the wide angle camera. Forget the stupid portrait modes, it's all about the wide angle.
2. Headphone jack. I do use a bluetooth headphone when I workout, but I prefer the convenience of using my regular headphones (don't have to worry about the battery dying).
3. I like having the expandable storage option.
If I wasn't tied to this half price AT&T G6, I would go for the Pixel 2 XL. I think the knowledge of getting the fastest updates would help keep my longing for the next great thing satiated.
Although, this freaking 2 year contract is definitely keeping me from jumping ship, so I guess it's doing a good job of keeping me from impulse buying.
I am with you there. This phone is the best phone I've ever used. Really going to enjoy using this for the next few years.I'm on the 50% off deal as well.
I ordered a P2 XL 128gb and keep looking at my order summary. $1,179.61.
I just can't justify it. The G6 is solid. Its just a tad smaller and runs smooth. The camera is great as well.

Who am I kidding, I'll prolly bail for the Pixel 3 xl next year. I need you guys to talk me out of it when that time comes.
iam with G6 now but if i get good deal on V30 by dec or maybe jan will jump to V30
I've came from an OG Moto X, to a OnePlus One, to a Priv, all 3 which ran as close to stock as any non Nexus/Pixel phones, and these past 6 months with the G6 has been my best.I'm sort of doing both. I have a NIB first gen XL coming tomorrow and I'm kicking the G6 to the curb... No more patience with the thing. It'll get traded in for a V30, which will probably end up going back after I play with it for a couple of weeks... Leaving me with the OG XL.
I just got sick of screwed up versions of Android that OEMs are using. I went to take a pic of my son at a MLS game tonight and the whole phone froze solid for a good 30 seconds. The V30 is going to be prone to the same software derps the G6 has. I'm all set with that.

This is my first LG phone, and so far I haven't had any of those issues. Hopefully my good fortunes keep up for the life of the contract. It's not really the UI... LG has improved that a lot the past couple of years. I actually have no complaints about the look of the new interface. It's the under the hood stuff... inconsistent performance, bad memory management, instability that gets much worse once you start accessing the camera... a bunch of little things that have driven me nuts since I switched phones with my wife in the summer. Fit and finish type work that LG has always had a hard time completing the play.
