Galaxy Buds

I got mine when they first released a few months ago. AT&T had a coupon that made them about $90. I was using them with my Note8, and initially the sound was great but the call quality was not so good. There has been a couple of updates for them since and the call quality has seemed to improve. Sound quality, IMO is always subjective. With that said, I have no issue with the quality of them, and they're loud enough that I can use them while I'm mowing my lawn.

My only criticism is that, while the ambient noise is a nice option, it would have been equally as nice to have a noise cancellation option as well. I think the ambient mics pick up too much sound during calls that cause interference with the call mics. I have no scientific evidence of it, but just my theory of why it's not the best for everyone.

I have the black ones and I like them. I think they sound okay. I love that they are real pocketable. Most of all I love that they were free :)

I like how small they are, that I can just put them in my pocket without a thought. I also like the wireless charging, which is convenient. but sound wise, they suck. the bass is anemic. they sound cheap.

I thought so too initially . Check that they fit more snugly in your ears. You'll be amazed at the improvement in the bass output.

No problems with bass here at all. Switched to the large earplugs and set equalizer to dynamic. Great sound.

My free yellow galaxy buds came today. Like that next day shipping lol. My black ones are going to the hubby. Man these yellow ones are pretty.

Love these!!! I want them but realistically as a teacher and everyday life they don't go with everything I wear and for me they have to fit my daily look 😭 but they look amazing and I love yellow! Really wish I could get them!

I have the black one and I must say I'm not really fond of them. Mainly because they are not letting any sound in when I'm wearing them. Yes you have the option to let the buds control that for you via software but that's not really my thing.

I'm still using the airpods and I'm much more keen about that one. They fit will in my ear and I like it that I can still talk to other people when I'm for example on the phone with a other coworker and I need to cross chat with the one beside me.

The other thing is that people do tend to hear me better on my airpods then on my buds. I use the buds as a spare for whatever reason.

Ps this is off course my personal experience I'm not advertising for Apple nor am I trying to lure out a discussion or something.

Lol I feel ya. I would have to if I didn't wait a little longer. It is gorgeous. It's funny too cause when I first put them in my ear yesterday I had the same colored work shirt on haha.

Yeah. I get what what you are saying. Sucks tho. So you probably have to get the other colors then. They are lovely. I'll be in trouble if they come out with a blue one lmao. I love yellow but blue I'm a sucker for:D

I have the white Galaxy Buds from the S10+ pre-order last March. For comparison, I also have the AKG NC60 Wireless headphones from the S9+ pre-order the previous year, and a pair of Bose SoundSport Free wireless headphones. My assessment of sound quality is:

AKG > Bose > Galaxy Buds

That said, this is more a comparison of three top tier headphones than any disparagement of the buds. I'm no audiophile, but to me the buds sound great, and if you turn on bass boost in the Wearable app, the low notes in most music tracks are just fine. That said, it's not as rich of a sound as the Bose headphones. And I'd say that the Bose are just as good in terms of sound quality as the AKG headphones; I only rate the AKG higher because they have active noise canceling.

Again I'm not an audiophile. But I think if you've got the Galaxy Buds you don't really need anything else. And as others have said, they are super-convenient. The case is small, supports USB-C charging, and can also wirelessly charge on a pad or via PowerShare.

Also, to answer @ivanwi11iams's battery life question: I've never had issues with it. The buds are advertised as having a 6 hour battery life, with an additional 7 from the case. That's more or less been my experience.

Is there a way to tell when the charging case is full instead of 60? Thanks!

Unfortunately, not. I don't have to charge mine often, and they seem to charge a bit slow, so when I do need to charge them, I usually let them sit overnight. This way, by the morning they're 100%.

Loving my Galaxy Buds... using them since 3 months now... earlier with note 9 and now with Note 10 plus
Love the sound and soo light...u barely know they are in your ears ..have used 99% of wireless charging...love that Note 10+ have power share...

Man it really sucks because I love yellow lol. I bet some royal blue ones would be gorgeous! My favorite cor is green, let them come out with a green pair, I may have to rethink things lol.

I like how small the case is. They also have a pretty good battery life for something so small.

I would say it depends on the music you are listening to..

No, it all depends on how well your ears function. Sound is extremely subjective. I have hearing loss in both ears so trying to tell someone else they sound better or worse is wrong. What sounds good to one person may sound different to another. For me, I like the buds sound and the portability.
