Galaxy Core II stuck in "installing system update" cycle

So I got an update notification on my SM-G355H a while back, I can't remember much of it except that it was about 55MB. Now it's stuck in a continuous reboot cycle. It says "installing system update", goes to about 97%, says "error", reboots once (showing only the logo screen), then reboots again starting the process over. It won't go into recovery mode, pulling the battery out and back in does nothing. Any help would be much appreciated.
