Galaxy Gear Smartwatch - Can't seem to sync from phone to gear using walking mate

Syncing from gear to phone is fine but this morning for some reason it says unable to sync, try again later.

anybody else had this issue?

getting frustrating now even though it says it has synced the extra steps are not appearing on the watch.

Try uninstalling the gear manager app and re install
