Some of you, like myself, may have been holding out on registering for the Galaxy Buds promo in order to get the $130 Reward eCertificate. I was able to register one of my phones last night and they are now sending out the eCertificate instead.

I'm bummed I didn't wait long enough. I went about a week and got scared they would "run out" of the promo and then got assigned the buds, but I prefer the ecertificate

I finally got my eCertificate number today and went to purchase some galaxy buds. They're not available on Samsung's website.

hell I'm still trying to get Samsung to accept my pre order receipt. They put me through the ringer, which they kept rejecting it.

I see now black isn't available, but white is on the Samsung web site.

I hope everyone waiting for these isn't expecting too much from them. Other than being free, truly wireless and integrating with the phone well, they are truly mediocre. Sound quality is equivalent to cheap $20 Chinese earbuds.

But hey, they were free so I use them at the gym.

They're not that bad. C'mon now. I can send you 50 truly bad earbuds that'll make these buds sound like champs!

I never expect much for free items, but I'm sure they will be good enough for my needs.

At least I was able to get the black ones instead of white. I don't need to go around looking like Apple crap in my ears.

I said they are mediocre, which they are. They aren't the worst I've heard, but they sound in the $20-ish range from my experience.

I review products for a few companies and these are on par with some in that price range in terms of sound quality.

As for the truly wireless aspect, the way it integrates with the phone, the case can be charged wirelessly, etc. Those are the redeeming qualities. I am just saying that the sound quality is mediocre at best and don't expect too much. I would say it's acceptable sound quality.

I want to get some upgrades eartips for them... cant find any yet that will fit for sure.

Fair enough.

Sound is mainly subjective is my conclusion.

Same here, I finally 2 days ago got accepted and will be getting the egift of $130. No waiting for the black buds to be instock.

I don't think there are any specifically made for the Samsung Buds yet, but I have used the Comply Smartcore Sport Pro which I found at Bestbuy. They work fine but they do NOT fit back in the case with these buds still on, you will have to remove them but the difference in sound quality between the Complys and the silicone flanges that come with the buds is like night and day.

Foams may not be for everyone because they have to be inserted differently than silicones. I've been using foams for over ten years so it's no big deal for me, others may find the whole thing to be a major hassle. Also, depending on hearing and experience with audio quality some may not find the difference enough to justify the expense and hassle.

Same here they rejected me because my Best Buy an my Samsung email were different. At least that's whst the representative at Best Buy told me. I got rejected and he was the Samsung rep helping me submit when I got my phone. And I sent them in all the information I've called I've emailed it expires tomorrow the promotions over and I haven't heard anything.
