Hello everyone, I am new here. A week ago, I brought Samsung Galaxy J5 (SM-J500H) this phone is working fine by now I have a issue when I tab torch on push nodification it won't turn on but it shows that torch is on. Similarly when head to camera, set the flash to on and take shot but flash not on. But when I connect charger the torch on push modification works but I'm camera, while focusing it works while taking shot it is very dim.
How to solve this issue???

Welcome to Android Central! Does this persist after a reboot? How about in Safe Mode?

If the problem goes away in Safe Mode, then some app you installed is probably interfering--most likely an app that has Camera permissions (since the LED flash is part of the camera). You'd have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem goes away.

But when I connect charger the torch on push modification works but I'm camera, while focusing it works while taking shot it is very dim.

Sorry, but I don't understand what you meant in your original post. Can you clarify?

Sorry I wrote this wrong. When I click torch on push notification the flashlight doesn't glow but in notification it says torch turn on. On the other hand when I connect charger the flashlight glows.
And my second problem is when I open up camera app take a shot by keeping the flashlight on here again flashlights not glow. By connecting charger at first time when it focus flashlight works well but taking a shot the flashlight becomes very dim. I am really worried about this. Please help me out.

Ok, so it sounds like the Flashlight toggle button in the Quick Settings pulldown menu isn't working.

When you're trying to take a photo, are you trying to keep the flashlight on constantly, or do you just want it to act like a normal camera flash?

The fact that this persists in Safe Mode suggests a problem with either the firmware or hardware. Try using Samsung Smart Switch to reinstall the firmware, if possible. You should backup your data beforehand, because firmware reinstallation might be like a factory reset. Or you can contact Samsung for warranty repair/replacement.

Thanks. But found a new issue the battery won't fully charged. It stays at 73. I discharged the battery to 0 and then recharged but not worked. Remains at 73. Any solution?

This is getting to be too many problems with a new phone.:( You may want to consider bringing it back to the store for an exchange.

Did you try letting it charge up overnight, without disturbing it?

Yes but it won't help. Also I installed frimware after error ( custom binary block by frp). Before this error,my phone works fine. Does frimware causes this?

If the custom ROM wasn't designed for your specific variant, or if there was a problem with the ROM's coding, then it certainly could be the culprit.

hello

I'm also getting same issue battery never charge fully, flash not working without charging plugged in.
