Galaxy Locker Popup on PlayStore from time to time

[Android Central Question]

Hi.
From time to time a Play Store will Popup with the Galaxy Locker app (from G-Legend developers) asking for installation.

I don't remember the first time this happened but I'm pretty sure I was navigating the Play Store so I confuse the behave with a missed click.

This must be another app that's causing this behavior but I haven't been able to find it.

Does someone know an app that allow me to determine which app is causing this?

Hmm, I am am having the same issue. No idea what's causing it, but it is getting annoying.

Welcome to Android Central! As far as I know, there isn't an easy way to figure out what app might be serving up adware. You could try an ad network detector like AppBrain Ad Detector, but these types of apps are all pretty old now in the Play Store, which makes me think that more recent Android versions make it harder for ad network detectors to work.

You may just have to uninstall apps one by one until the popups go away.

I'm having this same issue. I've tried a few malware/adware/virus scans and have found nothing. It's pretty annoying, especially if I'm watching a video or something and then the play store suddenly opens mid video.

I am having a similiar issue with my Samsung Note 5. I just turned off notifications and popups for the Playstore, so we will see if this works.

@B. Diddy I've installed AppBrain Ad Detector, but didn't catch anything, even at certain point the issue arise and AppBrain ask me if I want to open it with it, I choose yes but didn't show me any information to know which app is causing this behavior.

I'm having this same issue on my Sony XZs too. I think the app "Gallery Vault" caused this.
Before I download it, my phone is all fine. But recently I dl it and the problem appeared.
I've uninstalled it 5 hours before, and the problem disappeared up to now.

It might depend on what paying for the premium version does. Maybe it just gives you access to additional features, but doesn't get rid of the adware.

It looks like it's Gallery Vault. They just updated to new version. I had to start up Gallery Vault and update encryption method and resend my verification code to my mail... I hope it will stop now...

After 3 days without Gallery Vault and without the issue, as mentioned by @timlin0108 and @TorATB, everything point to this app as the culprit. Will install right now and will let you know if the issue appears again.

It is probability one of SDK intergated do this evil. We have disabled one suspicious sdk in our the latest version 3.1.11. Please update to the latest version and see the problem is fixed. There is something i found a while ago called AD Block that is still updated, and it is not on the play store for download. I found it on a website, the name of which I forgot. It also uses alot of battery ;(. But it is the best solution if you get alot of ads that you hate, and want them gone for good.

Downloading an installing an apk file from some random website can also be risky, since it might contain malware.

After my reboot, I have not seen the "Galaxy Locker".... However, now i get "turbo cleaner - boost clean"... not sure if this is related... My guess, it is.... @GalleryVault Support , Do you have any updates...?

Haven't seen the issue in several days, reinstalled the App last Friday. Let's hope this issue doesn't happen anymore.
