So I have been having some issues if you have read my other posts - i really am stumped right now...

I was havng issues with my phone so I decided to go back to AOKP.

I wiped everything, dalvik, data, cache... everything.

I reflash one of my backups with AOKP then run titanium to restore all of my apps and all is well. I turn my screen off - turn it back on about 10 minutes later and the "your phone was succesfully activated" screen comes up.

Side note - this has happened before.

So i dismiss it and continue on my way playing with my phone and it reboots - when it is done starting up it is running codename which is another one of my back ups. So i submit and take it as a sign I shoud stick with codename - turn my screen off turn it back on and my bottom main buttons are gone.

What did I do - What can I do - And what rom should I just flat out stick with?

I am starting to get to that point I have gotten to with everyother phone where I wonder if i should just go back to stock. However I have had so much fun with modding and sampling different roms.

turn off your phone, pull the battery and the sim. replace, boot to recovery, do a clean install (data, cache, dalvik, format /system). reboot. wait a min. before you activate, power off, pull battery and pull sim again, replace, and reboot regular. then activate.

when you restore apps with tib, make sure you dont restore ANY system data whatsoever.

the rom doesnt matter. but to be on the safe side, do a new download of whatever rom you choose, and check the md5 just to make sure it's not corrupted.

+1 to zero neck.

I am not good with nandroids, but having tested Bugless Beast, using Codename, etc. AOKP and the pink unicorn is my standard now. Milestone 5 very stable.

What zero said... especially regarding system data and TiBu.. don't ever restore any of it. Sounds like that's what you did.

Keep us posted :)

Could you clarify md5? Also how do I install just apps and not system data?

So i plan to do as I was told. However I have a few questions.

If I wipe everything wont I lose my titanium backup of my apps?

OR does that hold with the zip i create to flash titanium?

by wipe you mean factory reset/data wipe?

this will not erase the contents of your sd card, which is where your TIB backups are kept.
