Hi Everyone,
Quick question. A while back the microphone on my GNex stopped working. Verizon sent me a replacement phone and ever since I have been having issues. Basically what happens is my 4g or 3g signal will have bars but it turns from blue to gray. The phone will pretty much always stay gray until i restart the phone. Anyways, I called Verizon, they said they the JB software should have fixed this issue, but will go ahead and send me another replacement phone. I hooked it up last night, and today in the office I was getting the same exact thing. The bars went gray and stayed that way for hours.
When the bars go gray, I'm not receiving any e-mails or text messages. So obviously this in regards to a data issue. I can still make/receive phone calls.
The representative today told me to turn on "data roaming" as it amplifies the signal. Does anyone know if this will actually help me? He also said I should go to a Verizon corporate store and have my sim card replaced as its over a year old.
I've read on forums that people seem to have issues with antennas on the GNex. Where i love the phone, this is really starting to piss me off as getting e-mails on my phone is quite important for business. Does anyone have suggestions? I've read in some cases verizon switched their model of phone.
Thanks,
Jordan
