Wonder if they will have to remake any commercials they will have for the GN since it possibly could have been planned to be released 3 weeks ago. :P

I'm pretty sure Verizon has no commercials for this phone. They use Bloat ware to pay for commercials.

I kid I kid.

I'm sure they already made ads without a date cause they have never had any idea when it was going on sale.

They aren't going to bother to do any commercials specifically for this phone. It will just appear in the lineup and be sold alongside everything else.

That is what I would guess will end up happening. Even if they had a commercial for it I doubt they would put its release date and air it before it were released. The smart thing to do would be just not put a date and air it after the phone is released, which I believe is how all of verizon's ads work. Sometimes it seems like people completely forget everything about past phones and launches when it comes to the Nexus (not directed at the person I'm quoting, fyi).

Verizon won't put out commercials. Google, however, might.

Anything is possible but I doubt it. I know people don't want to accept and believe it but this phone like all Nexus devices is a niche and not really meant for mass market appeal.

This phone is different. All you need to do is look at the reception in Europe to see that. For whatever reason, the GN is reaching beyond the normal niche crowd.

I'm guessing they just dub over those galaxyS2 commercials that have been airing but every time someone says S2 the put in "NEXUS"

I wouldn't put it past Google to advertise this device. They seem to be advertising their services (gmail, Google+) a lot. I actually like their ads for them. Tells a short story.

People forgetting about Samsung? They already have YouTube ads for the Nexus. It wouldn't be difficult to put those on TV.

Spend a day on these forums and you would think the world is waiting for this phone.

Spend a day selling with me to customers nationwide, and you are lucky to hear a peep about it.

Good. That means I shouldn't have any issue getting one if it ever gets released :)

If only it worked like that. If it is true and there isn't much talk about it store will get less supply so any lack in popularity is made up for in number of units.

That simply isn't true. You said it yourself you saw a customer had called in 3 times over the Galaxy Nexus. The reason why the majority of your calls are mostly for the iPhone and other Android phones are because....those phones are actually for sale.

IT IS TRUE

That's ONE person calling in multiple times. I got him on his third call, and just found out one of my coworkers got him on his fifth try the same day, of course getting the same answer all the time

I agree also with just Google.

I think Verizon WILL NOT make commercials for this phone.

Google will most likely be doing all the commercials showing off their ICS phone.

Thats about it.

You're also one store. For a phone that has zero advertising going for it aside from forums and sites like these and isn't even for sale yet, there's a decent amount of buzz around it. If it was marketed like the iPhone and the Razr and also was capable of being sold right now, you'd more than likely have a lot more calls about it. During my Nexus hunting this weekend, I ran into a lot of people who said that they were getting calls about it left and right. So while your store may not have a lot of people calling about it, other stores do.
