This was over at Droid Life, apparently another training tool for Verizon employees. And look; 32GB. People need to stop asking about the damn storage. Its 32GB.

It also states "No OEM Customization." So we'll see how well that turns out with video that shows the two VZW apps on it (my previously stated belief is that they appear on the video simply to provide "branding" where possible and are optional from the app market....I hope...).

There talking skins ie sense touchwiz blur etc. Nit talking about bloat

No OEM customization, but it doesn't say anything about Verizon customization. Verizon isn't an OEM.

Disappointed that Swype is not listed in the Keyboard area. I have a Droid Charge now and am very used to Swype and to me it would be a step backwards and much slower to go back to using each letter one at a time. I saw another site listing specs that said the Nexus will have Swype so possibly they just left it off here or there is some reason it will not work on the Nexus. Not sure it is a deal breaker, but disappointing. I don't understand the reasoning why some newer phones leave out features older ones had that people use.

You can just install Swype like any other app...

I don't know if you like the Swype app itself or just the idea of a swyping keyboard. There's a relatively new swyping-style keyboard that's free in the Android Market, TouchPal Keyboard by CooTek, TouchPal Keyboard - Android app on AppBrain.

I still lol at the "No OEM Customization" when it used to be a selling point that Android phones had OEM Customization.

Thanks Kevin. I have been doing some research since I originally posted. I don't see the actual Swype app in the Market, but visiting their website it appears you can download the apk file. I'm sure I will eventually get this to be able to work on the Nexus. Dave

I'm whipped, I don't care about the two apps anymore, just want the phone.

I don't care about the apps either as long as the fact that they're baked into the ROM doesn't mean that OS updates will have to come from VZ instead of Google.

Edit:
I love Swype, I do not prefer Swiftkey, however I do like Swiftkey.

so... install it? swype is a 3rd party app, not a feature.

amen!

This is supposed to be a pure Google experience right? so Swype is not Google so not on the phone. Samsung Kies for info transfer between PC and phone - not on the phone. None of the other Samsung capability programs on the phone.

I bought and use Swiftkeyx and like it but I want to try stock keyboard for a while.
I tried to locate Swype in the Android market but I don't think I really found it. Where can you get it?
