I have been in two corporate VZW stores this week, neither store had the galaxy nexus on the display shelves. Does that mean they are phasing it out?

Probably, it's a year old. No phones stay on the shelf that long (except maybe the iphone since it's only upgraded once a year).

Doesn't mean anything about support for the phone. It will continue to receive updates for another year at least. :)

Verizon is all about the new and the now. It's still sad to see such a great phone go out to pasture in the eyes of Verizon. I recomend to anyone who is looking for a phone to get the GNEX. Now I guess I cannot say that... #sadface

All carriers are.. There is only limited shelf space they have, they need to attract new customers by filling that space with the latest and greatest hardware they have. We still have a great phone :)

It's funny how things change. Just 3 years ago when Verizon had no Android or Apple phones and were pushing Windows Mobile 6, the knock on Verizon was that they were way behind the times and to get the best phones you had to go elsewhere. I guess it's true that you can't please all of the people all of the time.

my local Verizon Wireless corporate store and two Best Buy stores have not had the Verizon Galaxy Nexus on display for almost a month.
(also no stock since then)

I like the fact that Verizon is keeping up with the latest and greatest. Just still a little sad to see such a stellar phone go the way of the original Droid when they STILL offer the iphone 4

I have seen it at my local store this past Saturday.

The gnex had a pretty long run considering the Droid 3 was EOLed after only 5 or 6 months. Hell, the gnex still has a better screen and specs than a lot of phones Verizon sells.

A friend of mine got the Droid 3 when it came out. I told him to wait because the sweet phones come out in the fall. He didn't listen. He was so mad when the Droid 4 came out like 4 months later and Verizon pretty much forgot about the Droid 3.

One thing iphone's offer on other networks is the ability to trade up to the latest and greatest contractwise. Wish we could if we wanted to.

I expect it will continue to be available online for sometime. I think last time I looked not that long ago they still had the charge and bionic online.

That's exactly what happened to me. I got the Droid 3 at launch and it was ignored about as soon as the Bionic came out. The last straw was when Motorola said it wouldn't get ICS at all. So this summer I got a gnex off gazelles eBay shop for $260. I don't think I'll ever buy a non nexus device after that

I love my gnex and my 7. It would be hard for me to not own a Nexus device

Well the nexus shows temporarily out of stock online for me. Could be a sign they are trying to clear out for a new one?

Kinda early for that since the Google event is on the 29th

Ya I agree its sad to see such a great phone be pulled off the shelves... I've had mine for exactly a year and still the performance and screen and everything else impresses me about this phone...nothing but Nexus from now on
