Galaxy Nexus on Sprint

I thought I would ask everyone who has a Nexus S are you going to upgrade to the Galaxy Nexus
this weekend or stay with your Nexus S for a while until something else comes out?
I'm really debating hard on this. I really wanted to Galaxy Nexus but now I'm wondering if I should just
wait a month or two to see if the price goes down. I can see it dropping to 149 or so after a month.

What is everyone doing?

Pass.. To outdated already and we know with upcoming devices from HTC and now SGSIII being finally confirmed as "existing" things are going to heat up over the next few months..

I look at it this way... Unless you got money to keep dropping on buying used or new full price your married into whatever you upgrade to for the next 2 yrs... Better make a wise choice...

I may be getting it because the way I use my phone I have no use for any of the hardware upgrades the HTC and Samsung offer and between the two that we have seen, I prefer the form factor of the Nexus.

BUT, there have been people reporting that the CDMA version already on Verizon is noticeably laggy. I was in a Verizon store on Thursday and was playing with the demo and was certain it was broken by how bad it was. So as of right now, I'll wait and see how the Sprint ones perform. If they're ok then I'll grab one. If not, I'll wait til the Samsung announcement on May 3rd and go from there.

In the middle of a two-year contract with my Nexus S 4G. If anything, I'll definitely be messing with the display models of the Galaxy Nexus when they arrive at the Sprint Store

Same here. While the new EVO looks promising, the battery concerns me. I'll probably hold out until mid- to late summer anyway, so there will either be a few options to choose from or, at the very least, the EVO battery should be fully 'vetted' and field tested.

I'm just not sold on the Nexus branding being the best way to go...for me.

My last yearly upgrade becomes due on May 1st and I've been thinking hard about this. I'm torn between the Galaxy Nexus and the new EVO (or even possibly the galaxy s3 pending samsungs announcement)

My only concern with the GN is it is last years technology, not that it's a slouch by any means but I'm not getting any more yearly upgrades. Plus I want to see how these newer processors end up for battery life efficiency. I have a feeling they will be better compared to the dual-core cpus of last year.

Of course, there is the other thought I have that my NS4G does everything I need from a phone and runs ICS quite well, maybe I can wait it out.

My last every-12-month-update is also up May 1st. And since I'll be stuck with this for nearly 2 years, I'm probably going to pass on the GNex especially since my NS4G just got ICS.

I'm looking forward to the GS3 or even the Galaxy Note.

How are you guys getting your last yearly upgrade with the Nexus S already? Did you use your upgrade on the Nexus S? It says I have until 2013 and I got the NS4g the day it came out.

Some of us were Premier Gold, and Sprint is letting those people have one last "12-month" upgrade after they killed the Premier program. For instance, I "purchased" (free upgrade at Best Buy) my Nexus on August 1st of last year. For my last 12-month upgrade, I'm eligible this August 1st for the $150 off.

I'm getting a free ride on my Nexus S 4g as it is.. I had orignally come in under a 2 yr contract with my Epic 4g but after 3 bad refurbs in a row I complained and Sprint gave me the option to swap out to a different device with no cost to me & not affecting my contract period.

Welcome to Nexus S 4g I said... My chance to try out the Nexus line and Pure Google.. Great experience and I have loved every moment of it...

So my original 2 yr contract is up in Sept 1st 2012.. I really doubt I will be shopping for the GNex at that point.. But who knows.. Might grab one used to have laying around

I'm going to end up with a complex! I just got my Nexus S 4G (last week). I was coming from a Palm Pr?. So, in that sense, it was a major upgrade. I miss WebOS, but with the horrible hardware and lack of developer support, I just couldn't hold on any more. To me, the Nexus S 4G is great. I'm not sure what I would be looking for in an upgrade. It's the perfect size, seems fast to me (I don't really do anything demanding), and the display is great (coming from my Pr?). I typically find I end up upgrading hardware just "because"... even if I would never really notice any difference in the tasks I use the device for. I've been pretty much wasting money on my Pr? as I would hardly ever use any of it's data features (and that's for over three years). At least with the NS4G, I actually find it easy enough to use where it's not a chore.

Oh man the Palm Pre! I did enjoy that phone for a while. The nexus has served me well.

This might be an old question, but is the LTE 4g set to debut this year? I haven't been keeping up on here lately.
