This seems very odd and at first I thought it was due to a defective Note. But after getting a replacement Note and doing some experimentation, it appears to be a problem with the keyboard/case.
The bluetooth keyboard/case is an aftermarket product from China. It is aluminum and has two plastic tabs on one edge that hugs the top edge of the Note and one on the other that fits perfectly into the charging port. The problem is, it apparently causes the Note to discharge within 2 days (even though the keyboard is in the "off" position). It also sets the date and time back to the factory settings (in my case, 6:00 p.m. 12/31/2011.
Just wondered if anyone else ran into such a problem and if there might be any resolution.
