I've found two symmetrically located circular areas (about 2/3 down the screen a 1/4 in from each side where the S Pen "hover" cursor doesn't show up. These areas are also not as sensitive when using the S pen- a light pressure, straight line, will curve around the two areas (and break the line across the centre of the areas.. Pressing harder in the areas will draw a line straight through.

The blind spots' circular shape and symmetrical positioning would suggest more of a design flaw than a manufacturing fault. Has anyone else found this?

I have the GT-N8020 4G model.

Cheer!

Darren: I just tried this in both landscape and portrait mode and did not have the issue you have. The snote worked perfectly. In fact, I even discovered a capability that s note has that I did not know about..... if you drag the pen to the bottom of the page and hold it there, the note will automatically scroll to the bottom. I was able to draw an absolutely straight line simply by holding the pen on the page.
Sorry for the deviation from topic, but it looks like you may have a bad tablet

Do you have your tablet in a case? Check and see if there are magnets in the blind spots. I have blind spots when my case is folded behind my tablet but they disappear when I have the case opened.
