Some of you guys should experiment with other settings. I see HDR being thrown around a lot but most of the time it's being misused. HDR mode means you have extremely high contrast ratio in a shot, say a bright sky and a dark ground. You used HDR mode to bring light into the dark ground, and to dim the sky a bit so you get better details out of it. Shouldn't be used for anything else.
Also if you have a steady hand, use the Night setting. It does a wonderful job of reducing ISO noise and lighting a shot, but it comes at the cost of a long exposure time (1/2) so unless you are like superman at holding steady, then use a mount of some sort. Either by holding it against a solid object like a wall or furniture, or use a tripod.
But seriously this camera is fantastic and in the right hands with the proper settings, you can really take some breathtaking photos.
I took these today to share with my neighbor. He is considering saltwater aquariums and I was expressing the growth I have experienced in my system.
