Galaxy note 2 sync

Question, I search and can't find the answer. But everytime I hang up the phone after a call, it always syncs up the contact list. Is there anyway to stop this? Annoying because when you use active notification after every call the screen blinks and I can't find an option to turn off in the active notification app.
