Galaxy Note 4 missing 8 GB of storage?

[Android Central Question]

Hi. My system says 15.5 GB are taken up, yet I have 5gb of system apps and 3gb of installed apps, and just a few images on the phone. I've tried file manager to find any hidden files but the 8gb of "used space" just seems to not exist. Any advice would be appreciated as I'm tired of being spammed by my phone that it is full when I have less than 10 apps installed. Searched Google to only find people recommend file manager. That memory isn't 'lost', it's filled with the phone's Operating System. Shown under System Memory in my screenshot. That's running Android 10 with One UI 2.1. The OS on a Note 4 is quite a bit smaller, but then, it's a 32 Gig storage device, if I recall.
