AC Question

I received the Android 5.1.1 update from T-Mobile a couple of weeks ago. At about the same time -- I'm pretty sure it didn't happen before the update -- I started getting this weird battery behavior. My battery life is pretty much fine until I hit somewhere around 30%, and then it just goes straight to 0, say within a minute.

I did not do a factory reset after the 5.1.1 update. I have cleared the system cache.

Any ideas? Could my battery be going bad? (I got my phone as soon as it was released, so the battery has about 14 months of use.)

Thanks!

Most people who report their phone dying with battery life of 10 or 20 or 30 (and any number between there) often find a replacement battery fixes their issues.
If it were me that would be my first step.
If it happens after that then more troubleshooting is required.

I would recommend a new battery from what you describe. I had similar issues before the update and even when charging my phone unless put into battery saver mode would still die. Just be careful when looking for batteries. I got an "OEM" battery that was really a knock off without an NFC chip that sucked. Try out an Anker battery if you can
