Galaxy note 5 media server drain

Having the dreaded media server battery drain. All the fixes I have seen resolve around the SD card on older models.

Welcome to Android Central! It could be related to a corrupt media file on Internal Storage. You might need to back up your current media (photos, videos, music), then delete it all from the phone and see if the problem persists.

How much drain? If you play music that will cause mediaserver to use system resources that in turn use battery.

You have a corrupted file on your phone somewhere. Have you downloaded anything unusual?
