Galaxy Note 5 unlock

Bought a note 5 on ebay, described as unlocked but seems to be locked to AT&T (which is ok as I use a straight talk AT&T Sim) I previously had an S6 edge unlocked which I could use as a Hotspot but can't use this note 5 as a Hotspot (reason why I wish to unlock it) I contacted AT&T & straight talk who say I need to get previous owner to remove phone from their account before they can unlock for me (sent a mail to the seller who has not given me an answer) looking for options now......??

Look for an unlock code, on Ebay. It’ll be pretty cheap!
