Maybe so, but if you are going to out price your competition by $70 it's going to be hard to get any traction. The GN10 had enough sales troubles and that was with it matching the full sized iPad in price. The GN8 was going to face similar problems if it came in at $329. At $399 the uphill climb becomes even more difficult.

i just picked mine up this morning from staples. haven't had a chance to pay with it yet but it's a good design and feels great in the hand.

I know it is over priced. If you look at the my previous posts you will see that I said the price will turn people away. I said I think the demand will be low at this price, so they will need to lower the price to increase demand.

it will sell good. the device feels and looks very premium to me. also had zero lag from what ive seen with mine so far.

Well I already have several tablets (Samsung galaxy note 10.1, Samsung galaxy note 2, Nexus 7, Samsung Ativ smart pc, Kindle fire hd 8.9, and IPad 4) so I don't know what device I will get next. I love them all.

Its a really good tablet. Very fast, no lag. Lots of ram and the speakers are plenty loud. I think its worth the money.

Got my galaxy note 8.0 yesterday. I am definitely finding a big improvement in the performance of the device as compared to the nexus 7.

I aree! I purchased mine from Staples yesterday...Overall quite happy so far..side loaded flash and no issues so far. Was on the fence with the ipad mini for a while and happy I waited!

I went to Best Buy to look at this beauty! I played with it for maybe 15 or 20 mins, and all I can tell you that it is VERY impressive! I loved the size, weight, and feel of this tablet, and the speed just blew me away! I have a N7 now, and I love it as well, but I have had some lag issues, but nothing to write home about.....The Note 8.0 had zero lag from what I could see, and the performance of the pen was so smooth! I would have bought this on the spot, but it did lack one thing that I was looking for, and that was an HDMI out port, as that was the deal breaker for me..... I know you cant have everything, but if the Note 8.0 had the HDMI port, that would have been everything for me....Oh well, I'll just wait to see what the new N7 is going to offer on their upgrade.

You can use an MHL adapter to output over HDMI. I doubt you will see an HDMI port on these types of tablets because that would make it rather thick.

I am a Real Estate Broker and need flash for the MLS site I use. When I tried to access the site out fo the box using interent icon on home screen I received an error message "flash required" - I downloaded and installed the lastest flash player for Android 4.0 and worked pefectly since... here is a link to the website I used : Archived Flash Player versions

How do you find the performance of the Kindle HD 8.9? Do you find the forked version of Android restrictive at all? It sounds like it may be a tablet that fits my needs as I use my tablet now mostly for media consumption, surfing the web, listening to internet radio, music, and podcasts.

If you have amazon prime, the kindle fire hh 8.9 is a great media consumption device. If you planning to use it for doing Some work, it is not good. it's android rom is very simplistic , though you can root it and get google play market it on it to install all your other apps.

yeah i needed the $425 back so i returned mine today. im going to see what the new nexus 7 has spec wise. if it doesn't impress ill get another note 8.0 once the price drops.
