I just remember that 3 years ago, I bought a Samsung tablet (and then returned ;)). That tablet was named Galaxy Note 8.0. Now the've launched their new phone in Note series: Galaxy Note 8. Isn't it conflicting with their old product?

Albeit there's a difference of ".0", but that doesn't matter, right? If you search for "Samsung Galaxy Note 8" in Amazon, you'll see Note 8.0 before Note 8 in the list! :)

Maybe Samsung is superstitious and didn't want to mess around with the natural number progression again. It didn't work out so well for them last time lol.

Well as long as people read carefully before ordering they shouldn't have a problem:)

It only takes a glance to see if you're dealing with the tablet or phone. Surely you click on the descriptive photos.

There was a long thread on this a month or two ago. Lots of discussion there.

**Edit** Don't mind me. I can't find the link to help you out. :p

Actually, if you notice Samsung calls it the Galaxy Note8 on their website (no space between the word Note and the number 8), I think this is intentional to minimize this issue.

Yeah and since they did it with note7 as well, makes me wonder if they will do that with the note 9

I'm seeing "(2017) Edition" listed on Amazon for several cases I was looking at. This seems to be a usable solution if adapted and widely used.

I googled note 8 the other day and ads for those started showing up lol.

sammy calls it Note8, no space and no .0 and I guess that's how they're handling it. does make it a pain for searches right now.
