Galaxy note stuck in boot up mode

Can someone please help me. My Galaxy Note 1 is stuck in the boot up mode, I start it up and it then just continues with the spinning circles.

I know nothing about phones but looks like someone removed my SD card. I know my phone has a custom ROM, what I want to do is restore the operating software to the original or update it to Jelly Bean but I don't know how since the phone won't start up.

I have tried starting up in recovery mode and restoring factory settings but it still won't start up...

Are you able to get into recovery?

What recovery do you have?

Do you have another sd card to put a rom on?

Once you have answered the above questions and put your answers here it should be easier to help you...

See if you can access download mode.
If you can just flash a stock ROM with Odin. After that factory reset and you're good to go.
