After objectively looking at both phones specs, side by side, thanks to phonescoop, I see no compelling reason to switch (does not feel like an upgrade) to this phone.

Compare Phones (Phone Scoop)

Bigger, heavier, slightly better display, NFC (not important to me), but pretty much a draw.
I know I'm pretty much preaching to the choir in this thread. But I need to have the latest & greatest. Am I missing something?
PS: I hate Verizon, it would take A LOT to get me to switch from Sprint.

Lack of a micro sd slot is a big reason why I wouldn't switch to this phone. The HD screen makes me drool just thinking about it, though.

Lack of expansion is why I sold off my Galaxy 10.1 Tab. Didn't do my homework before buying.

Yeah it'll be awhile before a phone is released that will offer a compelling reason for me to upgrade from my E4GT. Probably sometime in 2013. Mileage varies though ... some people have upgrade fever and move to something else every 6 months or so.

I have used my 4s with no SD card and I don't miss it. Google music takes care of that with the cloud. The iPhone 4s was the best phone until today. I had a sg2 and it is a dang good device. I love the GN display, drop dead beautiful and hey, it is a Nexus:) my daughter gets Siri for Christmas! Sgs2 owners should feel bad, the hardwar is great.

After months of using my SGSIISE4GT I must say I still very much enjoy this phone and see no need to purchase another.

Like many I am an "early adopter" of technology and I thought I would surely make the switch. However, I am still amazed by my SGSIISE4GT, and since it will be upgraded to ICS (according to some reports), I don't have a compelling enough reason to shell out $650.

In my opinion, the SGSIISE4GT is still the "must have" Android phone on the market today.

It would make my day if Sprint would tell Samsung that ICS on the S2 would be just vanilla no touch wiz. That would give us the Nexus with an SD slot. I don't mind touch wiz, but with ICS it is no longer needed.

our phone takes way better pictures than the gn, I use my phone a lot for picture taking and it excells better than any phone in that category

I was not very impressed to begin with, and after playing with one today, my opinion remains the same. It's nice, but most of my awe is due to Vanilla ICS. Now don't get me wrong, if there was a simple way for me to acquire this device, I would probably jump all over it. But it is not worth switching plans.

And amen to the person suggesting how amazing it would be for Sprint/Samsung to ditch TouchWiz. Of course that is not likely considering how much they put into it, and how they try to differentiate their devices...but an option would be nice. Seems we might have an interesting future ahead since Android is trying hard to make these "custom skins" unnecessary. I used to get bored with past vanilla android experiences. But ICS seems very complete !

You can expand the memory in a Galaxy tab. I have a 32 GB and haven't come close to using of the memory. Not even close.

Galaxy Tab 10.1 Adapter (USB) - Flash Drives

Ok, I'll bite. Without an expansion slot, how?

We bought the 32GB G Tab 10.1 and now that this has been released - I would have gotten the 16GB version as the only time I ever need more space is to playback movies if traveling - now that there's a super easy way to use USB flash drives with the tab, I would have saved $$$ and used this with one of my many flash drives laying around:

Galaxy Tab? Adapter (USB)
This pocket-sized device turns your SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab? 10.1 into a USB host, allowing you to connect compatible USB accessory devices such as keyboards, mice, thumb drives and more to your Tab?.

Went to the VZW store 2 nights in a row -

The speaker on the GNex is super low (as low or even quieter than the Galaxy S).

The camera doesn't come close to the ET4G.

I brought out (not activated thanks to Sprint hardly offering data in this area - speeds are under 100 kbps when we last had the phones activated) the Epic Touch to compare to the GNex directly ......

I wish VZW would just offer the GS 2 !
