Galaxy S10 Factory Unlocked or Carrier locked? Please help.

I'm about to buy the S10 but want some advice as to which to buy?
Factory Unlocked vs Carrier locked? Advantages vs disadvantages.

I'll be using a Verizon prepaid SIM.

unlocked would probably have better resale value

Advantage:
no carrier splash screen
better battery
less bloat/no carrier bloat
can pop any sim in

disadvantages:
quarterly updates/OS update after all carriers
no carrier RCS
any issues you dealing with Samsung direct

I honestly buy factory unlocked for the resale value only. Reason? I typically sell the current device toward the new device and in my experience, unlocked devices have higher resale value.

Not sure, maybe less carrier bloat but from my own analysis through Samsung unlocked phones , I've been through Att,tmobile,Verizon,unlocked I found tmobile and unlocked gave best battery life.

I'm unlocked on Verizon and doing well too.

52% left after 13 hours w/ 3 hrs, 5 mins of screen on time! Using the S10+ now though.
