Galaxy S10+ has new navigation bar in most games with "Game Booster", how do I turn off?

Wife's galaxy s10+ had an update last night from Verizon and now, most games show the navigation bar with two additional icons, the Game Booster icon and the Lock Game icon, one in each corner of the navigation bar. Does anyone know how to make these full screen? All games are set to full screen in main phone settings. If I open the Game Booster, there are some settings in there but I don't see anything about shutting off the navigation bar. Some games that have it are Word Chums and Homescapes. Two that do not have this bar are Angry Birds and Cookie Jar. She's using Nova launcher as default and I don't see any settings in there either.

I'm guessing now it's something to do with the update and app devs are writing this navigation bar into their apps. This stinks if that's the case.
