Android Central Question

I have a galaxy s10 and up until about a week ago it was working perfectly. However, I went to Sam's Club and tried to use their Scan and Go feature (where you scan the barcodes and pay right from your phone) and my phone stopped recognizing any barcodes. Then, last night, I tried to use the barcode scanner on a different app (food tracking app) and it won't scan barcodes on that app either. Can someone help? It's obviously not app specific, so I'm thinking a setting just got switched on my phone, but I can't figure out what it is.

I use the Sam's Club app for this all the time. It's built into the app, so there should be zero question here.

I would simply uninstall and reinstall the Sam's Club app, and let it clean itself up and rebuild itself and let it ask for permissions all over again.

The Samsung camera app scans QR codes by itself, so that's another check and balance.

Had that happen on my Note 9. It resolved after my phone did its weekly overnight reboot two days later. Now it reads again. At the time, I thought nothing of it, but your post reminded me about it.
